Users will be able to request rides from third-party ride-hailing services on Didi’s new open platform, the company announced Monday.

Didi has reached agreements with Chinese automobile manufacturers GAC Group, Dongfeng, and FAW Group — companies that have either launched or will launch their own Uber-like ride-hailing services, which will be integrated into Didi’s smartphone app.

Last April, Didi established the D-Alliance — a joint partnership with Chinese carmakers — eyeing an integrated system between the automobile supply chain and the consumer transportation service sector.
