Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. has appointed Wang Tao as vice chairman, replacing company veteran Hu Houkun in a top-level board reshuffle.
Under the company’s system, Wang will also serve as rotating chairman from April 1 to Sept. 30, 2026, overseeing the board of directors and its executive committee.
The leadership transition underscores a gradual generational shift within the Chinese tech giant as it navigates a challenging business environment marked by significantly slowing revenue growth.
