Lululemon Athletica Inc. said that products currently sold in China do not contain perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, following a Texas investigation into the company’s activewear over the potential use of the harmful chemicals.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a Monday statement that he issued a Civil Investigative Demand to Lululemon USA Inc. as part of an investigation which will examine whether Lululemon’s athletic apparel contains PFAS or “forever chemicals” that their health-conscious customers would not expect based on the brand’s marketing.
